Hiya! I’m whiteviolet,* a.k.a a raging yaoiphile, and I read lots of BL. Sometimes I also inject some senseless ramblings on the topic into cyberspace via this blog, mostly when (or because) I’m off my meds – not really, but if my writing sucks, just imagine that’s the reason. I typically read older and more obscure titles that probably no one cares about, and then write reviews that…probably no one also cares about, but maybe a few out there will enjoy pervving out with me.

The BLacklist is an 18+ humor blog relating to yaoi/boys love, mostly featuring manga reviews full of bad dick and butt jokes. I should also point out that although I truly love yaoi and spend a lot to support the artists and my hobby, I poke a lot of fun at the subgenre and its tropes in my reviews, because it’s imaginary fantasy buttsecks and we are all here to have fun.
Google won’t let me show ads on my blog because they don’t like censored line drawings of penises, so there’s really no way to offset the site costs. If you like my blog, you can help me with that with a small donation of $1-5. Anything helps!

I am happy to review any yaoi/BL material that is sent to me! I will, however, give it an honest review. Want a good review? Easy! Just don’t send me stuff that sucks. That is pretty hard to do though, because probably about 90% of the time if you give me some hot bishies twirling the dum-dum, I’m a wholly satisfied customer. You can also then pullquote me and say “-yaoi-bl.com” at the end, which sounds like some extremely official outfit, and definitely not like some random fujo on the internet hyperventilating over black and white dick drawings.
Most thing I review are my own physical copies, I have a collection of over 1000+ BL!
